Zero-clients can be used for restaurant checkouts just as in traditional retail. They may also be used to drive kitchen display systems in order preparation areas. Many of the latter are currently based on dumb terminals. A zero-client can be used as a drop-in replacement for dumb terminals while enabling the restaurant to migrate to more full featured graphical applications at a later date.
